The Arctic Rafting family consists of interesting and different kind of people from all over Iceland and the world. We are as different as we are many, some are big, some are small, some are always high on life and some are more down to earth. Everyone is a professional in their field. Some are passionate mountain climbers while others thrive on white water kayaking, diving or skiing. Everyone brings into the family his or her own hobby. There is however at least one thing that binds us together and that is love for the nature.
This young company is built on an old foundation, and has done well in providing it´s clients a variety of adventure tours since it was founded in 2005. The variety of day tours gets bigger every year, which makes the clients happy as well as our guides. By browsing through the Arctic Rafting and Arctic Adventures web pages you can check out all of the day tours and multi-day tours that we offer, both during summer season and the winter season. The summers are extremely busy for the group but we love it. The winters are more quiet but that just gives us the oppertunity to work less and play harder.
The owners are adventurers from head to toe, with many years of experience of managing the big " Big Arctic Adventure". They have special talents in making things work and have developed a special skill of being able to answer their mobile phones under extreme circumstances. For example answering their phones for important business calls in a ski lift in -15° C. They have both adjusted the office life surprisingly well, but are tempted to guide a tour every now and than to get some fresh air. They use their free time to pursue their personal dreams and adventures equally in Iceland as abroad.
The sales team is group of geniouses that know all of the trips that we offer, as they have been on all of them and more often than once, either for their own pleasure or as guides. Everyone in our sales team is ready to assist you finding the perfect tour that suits you if you are in any doubt.
Each and every guide has gone through special training that is required for each tour. Along with the high standards that Arctic Rafting has put down as a requirement for the guides, most of them have finished and Icelandic guiding diploma, as well as some important international trainings such as Wilderness First Responder and Swiftwater Rescue Technician, along with many others.
