White Water Canoeing Day Trip

White water canoeing day tour on Hvítá River, available directly from Reykjavík city.

White water canoeing is the perfect activity if you are looking for a challenging and fun adventure out in the Icelandic nature. The canoes are inflated and self bailing, meaning that they do not fill with water and are easy to maneuver. Two or three people sit together in the canoe and paddle it down the river under the watchful eye of a guide in a raft. We paddle down Hvítá river which has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. We travel for 7 kilometers and at one point participants get to jump from a cliff into the river. 

We only recommend this trip to those looking for action and are in good physical condition. 

The River Ride is a great action trip, specially for those with some experience in rafting. 

Details: 
9.990 ISK per person without transfer from Reykjavík and back.
13.490 ISK per person with pick up at 8:00-8:30 and lunch after the trip.
14.490 ISK per person with pick up at 12:00- 12:30 and BBQ dinner after the trip. 

Guaranteed departures: From 15th of May to the 15th of September, everyday for minimum 2 persons at 8:00 and 12:00 from Reykjavík, if you have your own transportation we depart at 10:00 and 14:00 from our Drumbó basecamp. 
In our shoulder season, 15th of April to the 14th of May and 16th of September to the 1st of October, we have departures for minimum 4 persons at 12:00 from Reykjavík and 14:00 from Drumbó bascamp.

Distance from Reykjavík: 100 km. 

Duration of trip: 3-4 hours. With transfer: 7 hours.

Available: 15th of April to the 1st of October (depending on weather)

Minimum: 2 pax from the 15th of May to the 15th of September. 4pax from April 15th - May 14th and September 16th - October 1st.  Maximum: 12 pax.

Age limit: 18 years.

Bring with you: A warm sweater (which will most likely get wet),bathing suit, spare clothing and a towel. No knowledge of the sport required.
