UnderWorld
Lava Caving trip in the Þingvellir area
Trip Difficulty 2 out of 5 possible, more difficult trips available.

Category: Daytrip, available directly from Reykjavik in Iceland.

The Underworld tour will reveal to you the hidden world of Þingvellir national park.  We will descend through a lava cave in to a lava field created in an ancient volcanic eruption. Inside we will discover the marvels that the volcanic activity created and get to closer to the core of Iceland  finding out how it came to be. The Gjábakkahellir cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and is situated in Þingvellir, Iceland´s most historic site.
