Hiking Tours in Iceland

Arctic Adventures in Iceland operates many hiking day trips from Reykjavík in South West Iceland, from Skaftafell in South East Icelland and from Ísafjörður in the Westfjords.,

These include among many others hikes, the ever popular hot spring river hike in Reykjadalur, just 40 minutes from Reykjavík, climbs to the top of the Hekla Volcano and the summit of the highest mountain in Iceland, Hvannadalshúkur in Skaftafell...and every thing in between!

We also guide three multi day treks out in the magnificent Icelandic nature and our selection includes hiking the famous Laugavegur trail, exploring the distant Hornstrandir Nature Reserve and wandering through the deserted inlets of East Iceland.

In the past the Hornstrandir was populated with vikings, then colonies of fishermen and finally none at all.
