Hike the Mt. Esja and witness an unsurpassed panoramic view of Reykjavík and its surroundings. Mt. Esja is 914 meters high and the ascent is a relatively easy, approximately 90 minute hike. Walking on a good path from sea level by the Kollafjörður fjord until standing on the top where you can look into the mouth of Hvalfjörður fjord. With hot chocolate in your hand you can also sneak a peak at the Snæfellsjökull glacier (Jule Verne´s gate to the center of the earth) and the intimidating North Atlantic Sea.

Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants. Good hiking shoes are vital! Includes: Hot chocolate. Add a packed lunch to your trip for 1500 ISK.
