About Arctic Rafting

We are Iceland's longest running rafting company with operations based on the shores of the Hvítá river in South Iceland, and in the heart of Skagafjörður in North Iceland. Our origins date back to the first rafting descents of 1983, upon which we founded the first commercial rafting operation in Iceland. We have since evolved into operating a wide variety of adventure day tours and extended multi-adventure trips, but still remain closely connected to our roots on the river. We believe that our success lies in our eternal spirit of adventure, our uncompromising loyalty and respect for our rivers, and our commitment to sharing our passion for our beautiful wilderness with all of our guests. Although we have grown to be Iceland's largest and most trusted rafting outfitter, we still hold all the same values we did when we were just a couple of fanatical river bums! Today we are proud to be the only rafting operator in Iceland whose guides are fully trained and assessed to international standards, certified in whitewater rescue and wilderness first aid, and backed by an impressive depth of international experience. As pioneers and leaders in Iceland's young and growing river indusrty, we are not only responsible for setting such standards, but constantly striving to shape the future of our operations to match the world's leading standards.
