This is our all time bestseller! The Hvítá river is a beautiful and fun river about an hour from Reykjavík. For more than 20 years the RiverFun rafting trip has been Iceland´s most popular adventure activity. With a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids, rafting the Hvítá (pronounced: Kveetau) is guaranteed to leave you with fond memories. We raft a seven kilometer stretch of the river and in Brúarhlöð canyon the rafters get to jump from a cliff into the river.

No one should leave Iceland with out experiencing the power that its rivers contain and lay eyes on the scenic canyons of Brúarhlöð in Hvítá. Not to mention going glacial river swimming in Iceland!!

How to get there

Guaranteed departures: Everyday at 12:00-12:30 from Reykjavik and 14:00 from Drumbo basecamp. Available from the 1st of June to the 1st of September. 

If you are staying in down town Reykjavik then the pick up for your rafting trip will be at 12:00 from the Cintamani Center located at Laugavegur 11 in the heart of down town.

Details:

Price 6.590 ISK per person. With pick-up 9.990 ISK per person.

Book lunch before the river rafting with soup and bread after the rafting for a total price off  7.790 ISK per person.

Distance from Reykjavik: 100 km. Duration of trip: 3-4 hours. With transfer: 7 hours. Available: May to October (depending on weather). Minimum: 2 pax. Maximum: 200 pax. Age limit: 12 years. Bring with you: warm sweater, bathing suit, change of clothing and a towel. No knowledge of the sport required.  Includes an entry to the hot tub or sauna and freshly baked bread, fruit juice and soup.
