U-Drive South Shore - Super Jeep Self Drive Trip

Super Jeep Self Drive and a glacier walk on Sólheimajökull glacier

If you are up to driving a super-jeep on and off the Icelandic roads and hiking on the spectacular Sólheimajökull glacier, than this trip is definitely something for you!

We start by picking you up at your accommodaton and showing you how to drive the specialized super-jeep on and off the roads. We then head to the south where our first break is at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which is not only 65 meters high but you have the chance to take a walk behind it! The next stop is at the majestic Skógarfoss waterfall before heading up to the glacier for the experience on ice.

Arriving at the glacier we will give you the glacial equipment that you need, and with an experienced glacier guide at your side you will witness the awsome ice formations that the rugged Sólheimajökull glacier has to offer, crevasses, mulins and jagged ridges. After coming down from the glacier and eating our lunch, we will take you to the black sand beaches where you will drive on the black sands beside the amazing and overwhelming Atlantic Ocean.
