The Skagafjörður Fjord in North Iceland is home to two powerful and stunningly beautiful glacier rivers, the mighty
Jökulsá Austari and its more relaxed sister, the
Jökulsá Vestari. Together they offer world class white water rafting, from family trips to adrenaline action river trips and expeditions. So if you feel like braving the famous adrenaline pumping glacier water waves of the East Glacier River or simply want a taste of river rafting fun and the magnificent beauty of the deep Jökulár Canyons on the West glacier river, here you will be able to find something that fits your desires.
Our river trip on the East Glacier River or Jökulsá Austari as it is named in Icelandic is what we are famous for, frequently rated as one of Europe´s five finest rafting trips. We call it
The Beast of the East and for good reason, it is very demanding and action packed trip. In the international white water system it is rated as a class 4+ out of 5 possible, so get ready for an unforgettable adventure. The river powers through impressive canyons and has consistently topped Lonely Planet lists of "things to do in Iceland", and for a reason. This is the ultimate river rafting experience in Iceland and we state without blinking an eye that this is also one of the best rafting rivers in Europe.

Staying in mountain huts (one with a cozy natural hot spring) and dining on great BBQ this class 4+ river trip will leave you with guaranteed bragging rights and memories to last a lifetime.
