This is our all time BESTSELLER! The Hvítá river is a beautiful and fun river located a little more than an hour´s drive from Reykjavík. For more than 20 years the River Fun rafting trip has been Iceland´s most popular adventure activity, both for locals and visitors. With a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids, rafting the Hvítá (pronounced: Kveetau) is guaranteed to leave you with fond memories. We raft a seven kilometer stretch of the river and half way, in Brúarhlöð canyon the rafters get to jump from a cliff into the river.
No one should leave Iceland with out experiencing the power that its rivers contain and lay eyes on the scenic canyons of Brúarhlöð in Hvítá. Not to mention going glacial river swimming in Iceland! Can´t beat the feeling.

In the high season (May 15 - Sept 15):
Everyday at 08:00 from Reykjavík and 10:00 from Drumbó basecamp. No minimum participation is required.
In the shoulder seasons (May 1 - May 14 & Sept 16 - 30):
Everyday at 08:00 from Reykjavík or 10:00 from Drumbó basecamp. Minimum 4 persons. If you less than four in your group, contact us to join another group.

PRICE:
9.990 ISK per person, without pick-up from Reykjavík.
14.990 ISK per person, with pick-up from Reykjavík at 8:00 - 8:30 and a lunch buffet.
Included: river rafting on Hvítá river and entry to the sauna.
Distance from Reykjavik: 100 km.
Duration of trip: 3-4 hours with out transfer from Reykjavík. 7 hours with transfer from Reykjavík.
Available: April to October (depending on weather).
Minimum: 1 person from May 15th - Sept 15th. 4 persons for April 15th - May 14th & Sept 16th - Oct 1st.
Maximum: 200 persons.
Age limit: 12 years for rafting the whole river and 10 years for half of the river.
Bring with you: warm sweater(will probably get wet), bathing suit, change of clothing and a towel. No knowledge of the sport required.
For those who drive by themselves to Drumbó, lunch buffet is available at Drumbó basecamp from Monday to Saturday at 12:30 - 13:30. Price for lunch buffet: 1.450 ISK per person. Note: Lunch has to be booked in advance.
If you are staying down town Reykjavik then the pick up for your rafting trip will be at either 08:00 or 12:00 from the Arctic Adventures / Arctic Rafting head office, located at Laugavegur 11 in the heart of down town.
